How to choose the right organic fertilizer starter?

Release time:2025-09-10 17:39

In order to increase the income of the land, farmers have been applying a lot of chemical fertilizers to the land, resulting in soil compaction, reduced fertility and increased costs. There is also a kind of fertilizer, which not only saves money on buying chemical fertilizers, but also grows crops well and has an effect on soil improvement. It is green and pollution-free. It is farmyard manure. However, farmyard manure is composed of livestock and poultry manure and various garbage residues. Unripened farmyard manure often contains a large number of germ eggs, which can easily cause crop root diseases and pests; unripened farmyard manure nutrients are mostly organic and are not easily absorbed by fruit trees, resulting in fertilizer loss. At the same time, when farmyard manure is fermented and decomposed by microorganisms in the soil, it will generate a lot of heat, which is easy to burn roots and seedlings.

Therefore, farm manure must be thoroughly decomposed and fermented before it is safer and more efficient. The natural decomposing fermentation time of farm manure is slow and the effect is not good. How can growers use their own resources to get a large amount of decomposed and efficient fertilizer in a short time? Fertilizer starter can effectively solve these problems. Organic fertilizer starter is a powerful starter composed of a series of complex microbial flora. It has the characteristics of fast fermentation, high number of bacteria, strong performance (compound aerobic fermentation), wide use, easy operation, good dosage form, low cost and few bacteria. In addition to livestock and poultry manure, there are also many raw materials that can be used to make organic fertilizer. Such as various crop straws, melon rattan, leaf weeds, bran vinegar residue, wine residue, vinegar residue, soy sauce residue, soybean cake residue, powder residue, tofu residue, bone meal, bagasse and other wastes can be turned into organic fertilizers. Fermentation of 3 to 5 tons of finished organic fertilizers only requires 1 kg of fertilizer starter, which not only has a short fermentation time, but also is more thorough in fermentation. It is also simple and easy to operate. The fermented organic fertilizer has the advantages of fertilizing soil strength, promoting growth and disease resistance, safe and convenient use, and improving the utilization rate of chemical fertilizers.

At present, there are many types of fertilizer starters on the market. If you want to choose a more suitable fertilizer starter, you should pay attention to the following points for the majority of users' reference:

     1. Choose an aerobic fermentation agent. There are two main types of fermentation of fertilizer starters, namely: good (consumption) oxygen fermentation and anaerobic fermentation. Generally speaking, when making fertilizers or substrates, aerobic fermentation has much better fermentation intensity and thoroughness than anaerobic fermentation. Anaerobic fermentation is carried out under specific closed conditions, such as the production of biogas, or due to high anoxia, some facultative microorganisms are forced to anaerobic fermentation (except for special dedicated anaerobic microorganisms). Aerobic fermentation conditions are relatively loose, and fermentation is more thorough. Organic fertilizer starter belongs to aerobic fermentation. It can be placed in the open air or indoors during the fermentation process. The fermentation function is powerful, and the appearance and internal quality of the product are excellent.

     2. Choose a composite starter. Different uses of starters come from different sources, with different proportions of components and functions. Some are single-functional bacteria, such as only yeast or actinomycetes, and some are a variety of complex functional bacteria with strong comprehensive functions. Some are simple self-propagating and self-use bacteria. They are not professionally purified and rejuvenated, and their bodies are "not strong". Some are even weak and the effect is unstable, resulting in greatly reduced or basically ineffective functions. At present, there is no industry standard for starters, and they still refer to the national microbial fertilizer standard. Those with less than 50 million effective functional live bacteria per gram are unqualified products. Organic fertilizer starter is a powerful starter composed of a series of complex microbial flora. It has the characteristics of fast fermentation, high number of bacteria, strong performance (compound aerobic fermentation), wide use, easy operation, good dosage form, low cost, and less bacteria.

      3. Choose a fermenting agent that ferments quickly. The larger the amount of fermenting agent and the longer the time, the more worthless it is. Some fermenting agents have a lower content of viable bacteria due to their effective functions, and the addition amount is large. The addition amount is 2/1000 to 5/1000 (1-5), that is, fermentation requires 3-5 kilograms of fermenting agent for one ton of finished products, while some fermenting aids only need 0.2/1000. The cost difference is not one yuan, but several times, dozens or even hundreds of yuan! Some fermentation time is 10-15 days, some are a month or more, and the longer it takes, the higher the cost and cost, and the loss of salinity and alkali, the more unfavorable it is. Organic fertilizer starter for general materials, such as chicken manure and pig manure, only takes 7-10 days to ferment, much faster than most products, and its addition is much lower than other products. One kilogram can ferment 5 tons, which can be said to be very cost-effective.
