According to Zhou Yanyue, deputy chairperson of the Home Building Materials Quality Committee of the China National Standards Association, in order to solve the industry dilemma, the special committee took the lead in setting up an expert working group on the quality grading standards of home building materials products, and built a collaborative standard development system of "government, industry, academia and research". The working group linked 10 national testing agencies, 4 authoritative certification agencies, 2 leading channel platforms and more than 110 industrial chain enterprises to conduct field research in more than 10 core industrial belts such as Foshan, Zhongshan, Chaozhou, Xuzhou, Ganzhou, Yongkang, etc., to comprehensively understand the pain points of the industry and the core needs of users.

On this basis, the China Standards Association Home Building Materials Quality Committee organized industry experts, authoritative organizations, and enterprise representatives to jointly develop 11 home building materials and related field group standards, including "Home Building Materials, Product Quality Classification Specifications Part 1: General Principles", which were issued and implemented by the China Standardization Association. Among them, there are 8 standards in Part 3 to 10 of the Quality Classification Specification for Home Building Materials Products, which respectively stipulate the requirements, samples and testing methods, determination rules, workflow, etc. for the quality classification of 8 kinds of products, including ergonomic chairs, children's study tables, smart cameras for household and similar purposes, silent doors and windows, indoor health lighting fixtures, spring soft mattresses, smart toilets, and furniture leather. This provides guidance for its development direction, and provides a reference for quality classification. It is also conducive to standardizing the quality classification of 8 kinds of products.
