"We buy large quantities of apples from Xinjiang," said Wang Hui, head of Aize Supply Chain Management. "After careful sorting and processing in Dangshan, we store them in cold storage. According to market demand, we sell them to the national market through online and offline platforms such as Hema and JD.com."
In June 2023, Dangshan County was successfully approved as Suzhou National Backbone Cold Chain Logistics Base based on its unique location advantages and profound fruit and vegetable industry. Dangshan County has taken a number of measures to continuously strengthen the construction of cold chain logistics bases and deepen chain development. The base has gradually formed a "logistics + industry" dual-channel economic model, radiating and driving the production and processing of agricultural products within 150 kilometers of the surrounding area, empowering the county's e-commerce industry with an annual transaction volume of more than 7 billion yuan.

It is reported that Dangshan County is a major county in fruit production, processing and sales in the country, and is one of the top 10 counties in fruit production in the country. It has been awarded the title of "China Pear Capital". It is the origin of "Dangshan Crispy Pear" and enjoys many national name cards such as "National Geographical Indication". It has been recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the county with the largest area of pear trees in the world.
At present, Dangshan County produces more than 1.7 million tons of various fruits and 1.3 million tons of vegetables annually. In 2019, it was approved as a county-specific industrial cluster for fruit and vegetable food in Anhui Province.
