The National Electrical Instrumentation Quality Supervision and Inspection Center is the only national-level product inspection center authorized by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine to specialize in the inspection of electrical instrumentation products, an import and export commodity inspection and accreditation laboratory, a technical institution for the stereotyping and appraisal of new measuring instruments, and a national-level testing agency for the inspection and appraisal of scientific and technological achievements authorized by the State Science and Technology Commission.
