In a furniture city in Xianghe, Hebei, among hundreds of furniture sales stores, only 5 specialize in children's furniture. The salesperson here told the reporter that in addition to some brands of children's furniture operators who also keep brick and mortar stores, most of the sellers have gone to the e-commerce platform.

The reporter logged on to an e-commerce platform and entered the words children's furniture, and 220,000 stores appeared. Among them, there are more than 5,900 children's learning tables and chairs. When the reporter checked these online stores, he found that the children's learning tables and chairs sold by e-commerce platforms are generally lower than brick and mortar stores. The salespeople of several brick and mortar stores in the investigation told reporters that the children's tables and chairs they sell are different from those sold online.

Sales staff told reporters that the "online version" of children's furniture is different from children's furniture sold by brick and mortar stores in terms of material, size, accessories, etc. In the children's furniture industry, there is also a saying that "those who do e-commerce do not do brick and mortar stores, and those who do brick and mortar stores do not do e-commerce". Even if they are sold online and offline at the same time, they do not launch the same product at the same time to prevent consumers from comparing quality.
