Global shipping giant Maersk has placed a "super chess piece" in Shanghai Lingang

Looking out from the window of the office building of Maersk Lingang Integrated Logistics Flagship Warehouse, the Donghai Bridge winds forward, and at the end is Shanghai Yangshan Deep Water Port Area.
"This is the'last kilometer 'for China's exports and the'first kilometer' for imports. Now, customers don't have to worry about this kilometer," said Ding Zejuan, president of Maersk Greater China.
The flagship warehouse is not only located near the "water tower", but also has the advantage of policy opening - it is located in the Yangshan Special Comprehensive Bonded Zone in the new area of Lingang, Shanghai, and can enjoy a number of innovative and simplified regulatory policies with the help of institutional innovation advantages.
Here, the customs fence becomes "senseless". Maersk will be approved to implement a classified supervision policy, allowing bonded and non-bonded goods to be stored in the same warehouse, and supporting the direct conversion of the two states in the region, without the need for bayonets to enter and exit.
For example, for export enterprises, the arrival of export goods in the Maersk Lingang integrated logistics flagship warehouse is regarded as export, and the enterprise can immediately apply for export tax refund. In the traditional model, after the export goods arrive at the port, they have to wait for the matching shipping schedule, and the enterprise can only get tax refund after shipment. For importers, the goods can be quickly transferred to the bonded warehouse after arrival at the port, and then cleared and shipped after the consumer order is confirmed.
